Annual Fund

The Challenge of Tuition-Based Financing

Did you know that tuition covers only about 80% of the cost of an Archbishop Hannan High School education? The remaining expenses are currently covered by the Archdiocese of New Orleans and our Hannan fundraisers.

Our mission and tradition of providing the best Catholic, college preparatory education possible is challenged each year by the rising costs to operate the school—books, supplies, salaries, electricity, gas—just like the rising costs you face at home and in your business. Continuing in the tradition of Catholic education, our tuition does not reflect the true cost of your child’s education. In addition, being a Catholic, private high school, we do not receive state or federal aid.

Beginning with the 2012 – 2013 academic year, the Hannan Annual Fund will act as the core of our fundraising efforts covering the shortfall between the full cost to educate our students and the tuition we charge. In order to succeed, we invite alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends to contribute to the Annual Fund. Every gift makes a difference. Your gift, large or small, supports the day to day operations of Archbishop Hannan High School. Your generosity helps fund curriculum development, campus ministries, teachers’ salaries, athletic programs, Christian service programs, fine arts, student activities, building maintenance, new building projects and more. Your gift helps keep tuition costs down—for all students.

Please remember, because Archbishop Hannan High School is a 501(c)(3) organization, your gift to the Annual Fund is tax-deductible.
