Deferred Admission for the 9th Grade

At Archbishop Hannan High School we understand the importance of your child finishing their grade school experience at their current school. As a result, we designed the Archbishop Hannan High School Early Admission Program specifically for those 7th grade students who know they want to attend Archbishop Hannan, but would like to complete their 8th grade year at their current grade school. If accepted in the 7th grade, the student is guaranteed a place at Archbishop Hannan High School beginning their 9th grade year.

General Program Information

  1. In making its decision, the Admission Committee will review the applicant’s elementary school grades, and standardized test scores, as well as meet with the applicant for a personal interview.
  2. If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit their 8th grade records for review and take the Placement Examination in January of their 8th grade year.
  3. Final acceptance will be contingent on the applicant maintaining a satisfactory grade point average and conduct record during their 8th grade year.
