The Archbishop Hannan High School Campus

Archbishop Hannan High School’s administrative, academic, athletic facilities are arrayed over our beautiful 24-acre campus in Covington, Louisiana.  Interspersed between the buildings are shaded, grassy areas where students gather and meet with classmates before and after school and during breaks and lunch.

Our strong emphasis on college guidance and counseling resources is evident with the central location of the Counseling Center. This center is equipped with computer workstations where students can explore college options and work on applications. The center also offers private offices where students meet with their counselors. Other on-campus resources include:

• a library
• computer laboratory
• TV and video production studio
• art studio
• language laboratory
• well-equipped labs for chemistry, biology and physics.

Our students take full advantage of the school’s athletic facilities, which include a state-of-the-art gymnasium completed in 2008. The building houses a weight room, five locker rooms, and facilities for theater and musical productions.  Our large playing field provides ample room for football and soccer practice. Our home softball, baseball and soccer fields are located next to our campus at the Coquille Sports and Recreation Complex.

New Construction 2012 – Expanding for the Future

In the Spring of 2012 Archbishop Hannan High School will begin construction on the final phase of its rebuilding process. A new classroom building will provide ten new classrooms, two additional science labs and a new art and ceramic studio to the campus. The new library/media center will almost double the available study and research facilities. Last, but definitely not least, we are looking forward to the construction of Hawk stadium, the home of Hannan Hawk football and soccer.
