At the end of each season, football coaches from the district gather together to vote upon the title of All-District. This award recognizes outstanding achievement within particular positions for that season. This year, Hannan had 20 students named to 1st Team, 2nd Team, or Honorable Mention for All-District.
Those football players who received All-District 1st Team are Nathan Foquet, Offensive Linemen; Jason Brooks, Wide Receiver; Michael Froeba, Running Back; Nick Pounds, Tight End; Collin Becnel, Linebacker; Thomas Harrison, Defensive Back; and Mitchell Morel, Defensive Linemen.
Players named to 2nd Team All-District are Kyle Sewald, Wide Receiver; Austin Burgess, Offensive Linemen; Korey Zeigler, Quarterback; Payton Hudson, Kicker; Bruce DiMartino, Linebacker; Zack Castelluccio, Linebacker; Tyler Beebe, Defensive Linemen; and Steven Saucier, Defensive Back.
Honorable Mention All-District includes Austin Breazeale, Defensive Line; Anthony Caronna, Wide Receiver; Derrick Tomberlin, Defensive Back; and Collin Comenge, Offensive Linemen.
One Hannan football player had the honor of being named to 1st Team for both offense and defense. Jack Witte received 1st Team for both Offensive Linemen and Linebacker. Witte expressed, “So many players making a district honor on our team is a great accomplishment for us. We had 10 players on offense and 9 on defense and 1 on special teams- 20 guys out of 22 starters. It’s great to see the respect we have gained in our district. I am very honored to make 1st team in offense and defense but even more honored to see all my guys make a district honor as well.”
These students were recognized at the most recent school assembly. Congratulations boys for an outstanding season!
