National Honor Society Tutoring Program

11/15/2012

The National Honor Society provides weekly tutoring, which is just one of the many ways we strive to foster academic excellence here at Hannan.  This year, we are offering both walk-in tutoring as well as appointment tutoring.  Students may come to Mrs. Brouillette’s room (213) at any time during lunch on Thursdays.  For walk-in tutoring, three to five National Honor Society members will be stationed in her classroom throughout the entire lunch period, and students may partner up with an NHS member to seek extra help for class.  For appointment tutoring, teachers may require a student to attend a session with a specific NHS member each Thursday for designated subjects.  Students who want help on a consistent basis may also ask their teacher to pair them with an appointment tutor on a weekly basis.

We encourage all students who need guidance and assistance in particular areas to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity for peer tutoring.  The National Honor Society members are eager to begin helping others in all subjects.  If you have any questions about this program, please contact co-moderators Mrs. Brouillette (cbrouillette@hannanhigh.org) or Ms. Puntila (apuntila@hannanhigh.org) for more information.
